From announcement to launch build
The sequence begins on 20 August 2025 with Introducing Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, followed by the First Gameplay Reveal Trailer on 10 December. Beta Testing Sign Up arrived on 16 April 2026, and the Beta Testing and Crossplay Update followed on 23 April. The Release Date Announcement on 14 May moved the product toward a public target, while Open Beta Information on 29 May marks the first historical beta lens in the switcher.
June and July carry the operational story: a Release Date Update on 2 June, a June Community Update on 11 June, a Performance Blog on 1 July and a July Crossplay Playtest on 20 July. Road To Launch Update on 30 July and Launch Maps and Top 5 Things To Know on 12 August lead into the launch-build record. On 13 August, Out Now, Game Modes and Important Launch Info establish the released state and its immediate support context. The timeline gives each event a date, category and status so ‘current’ and ‘historical’ do not blur together.

Use the version switcher
Choose Open Beta to show four records: the beta sign-up, the beta and crossplay update, the Open Beta Information entry and the release-date update that followed the beta period. Choose Launch build to focus on the current launch preparation and the 13 August product state. Choose All captured updates when the question is the full sequence. The count beside the control confirms which lens is active.
The version lens is useful because live-service language can hide a date boundary. A pre-release page may describe a coming product, while the launch-build record describes a released product. A playtest may explain crossplay testing without being the same as the final platform surface. Keep the date attached to the title before using a timeline entry as a current answer.
Field note
The launch-build handoff
The current release record is 13 August 2026. The platform page carries the store-specific access notes, the field brief carries the first-match routine, and the updates page carries the community-facing current surface. The timeline sits between them: it explains how the current build arrived without asking a player to reconstruct the sequence from separate announcements.
When a future update changes a role, map or system, use the dated entry to decide which page needs a fresh read. A new helicopter note belongs with Systems and Vehicles. A new map note belongs with Battlefields. A platform change belongs with Editions and Support. The timeline is the index of that change, not a replacement for the page where the player acts.
